Warm Spiced Rum and Cream cocktail recipe

Is there anything better on a cold winter night than to thaw out from the inside out with a warm drink? Let's top off that warmth with a bit of whipped cream and a personalized cocktail napkin and call it a party! Mix up this warm spiced rum to turn your chilly evenings around. 

Warm Spiced Rum and Cream

Ingredients
2 oz dark rum
2 oz boiling water
1 oz ginger syrup
1 sprig rosemary
2 orange peels
2 dash cinnamon bitters
Spray whipped cream
Additional Rosemary for garnish
Star anise for garnish

Directions
Bring your water to a boil in a saucepan on the stove. Once boiling, add the orange peel, sprig of rosemary, and ginger syrup, turning the water down to a simmer. Let simmer for 3 minutes to combine flavors, stirring gently. 

Next, combine the hot mixture with the remaining ingredients in a heat-safe mixing glass, stir gently. Strain into a coupe glass. Finally, top with whipped cream and garnish with a rosemary sprig and star anise, Serve while hot!
