A traditional pre-wedding festivity, everyone loves a good bridal shower! This is the perfect opportunity to celebrate the bride in a more intimate setting and help her prepare for married life. It's also a fabulous time to drink champagne, enjoy treats and catch up with friends and family!
This Chicago bridal shower did just that. Decked out in pearls and lace with a bit of kraft and burlap for a natural vibe, the floral spring bridal shower celebrated Lauren and CJ's upcoming wedding in style. Hosted by an impressive bunch of 10 ladies, including the bride's godmother and family and girlfriends of the mother-of-the-bride, the day was filled with love, lace and lots of laughter.
Guests were greeted with mimosas while they mingled before brunch at the Happ Inn. Special details were strung throughout the event like these personalized bridal shower cocktail napkins featuring the bride's name and a floral design that was also on the shower invitation.
Tables were decked with sweet floral arrangements, themed decor, adorable place cards and little party favors. Watercolor matchboxes were given as a traditional party favor item, along with sweet goodies. Personalized linen like dinner napkins added just the right splash of color to each setting.
The group of gals was joined by the groom for gifts and games to end the day. While cupcakes were passed around from the adorable dress cake, CJ and Lauren were led in a couple game that was definitely a crowd pleaser! Lots of laughs to be had. If you're looking for a fun bridal shower or couples shower game, this bride and groom recommend the Shoe Game. Simply have the couple sit back to back and each hold 2 shoes: one of their own and one of the other persons. Then, have a host ask "Who is more likely?" questions. In response to each question, have the bride and groom hold up a shoe of the respective person who they think the question is referring to.
Couple Shower Shoe Game Questions:
Who is the better cook?
Who is more of a dog person?
Who would rather be outdoors?
Who is more stubborn?
Who is more romantic?
Who made the first move?
Who is more likely to get lost?
Who is messier?
Who talks more?
Who is the better dancer?
Leftover cupcakes were stowed in cute mini cake boxes personalized with the bridal shower theme for a finishing touch to the day.
