Here at For Your Party, we love when a bride-to-be has a bachelorette party that passes on the expected and opts for a night (or weekend!) that is totally suited to her. This spring, Kate, from Prep of Boston, enjoyed a totally personalized and unique bachelorette weekend that completely reflected her preferences by swapping bar-hopping for pasta making and raucous partying for beach time. She called it a “Relaxing Bachelorette Weekend for the Non-partier” on her blog, and we say "YES! Please!" to this concept.
Kate’s sister, future sister-in-law and bridesmaids planned the “most Kate weekend ever.” They rented a coastal house not too far from home for a getaway that didn’t require extensive travel. Not only was the house a 2 minute walk to some of the most gorgeous views of the New England coastline, but they upped the relaxation in a huge way by having a private yoga instructor come to the house for a session on Saturday morning #genius. These ladies took relaxation verrrry seriously!
They kept party décor understated, but did add personalized party accessories in a coral and gray color scheme at the vacation house. With cocktail napkins that boasted “Best Weekend EVER” and coasters that said “Pop the Bubbly,” they were ready for a weekend of low key celebrating and major relaxation. They added adorable balloons and custom straw tags to round out their personalized party supplies.
The schedule for the weekend was relaxed but also structured around a few main outings. Of course, the private yoga class, then brunch and a trip to the beautiful nearby beach filled the Saturday daytime schedule, and they enjoyed a pasta making (and, ahem, eating!) class that evening.
A weekend, not far from home, full of meaningful activities with plenty of time to relax and enjoy the beach - we’re totally sold! Well done, Kate and friends, for celebrating in ways that make sense for YOU. #bestweekendever
